Poet, journalist, author, translator.
Omar Alshaikh is a poet and journalist. He was born in Damascus in 1987 and has been living in Cyprus, in Larnaca, for the past few years. He works in the Arabic press and translates Greek literature. He has worked in Syrian television and the Arabic press for over 14 years. Now he is involved in journalism and translation. He has published four poetry collections: “Cold Poison” in 2008, “When Do I Become Breaking News?” in 2009, “Live from the Editing Department” in 2014, and “Before You Acquire the Earth” in 2019.
