Sappho is a composer of electroacoustic and ambient music. She always had an interest in music but decided to study it only in her final year of high school. In 2015 she moved to the UK to study for her bachelor’s degree in music at the University of Sheffield where she was introduced to acousmatic music.
Fascinated by the world of sound design and electroacoustic composition she decided to do her master’s degree in Electroacoustic composition and Interactive Media at the University of Manchester. Since then she composed several acousmatic pieces and audio-visual works. Her music was performed in several festivals; Sound Junction, Mantis, Sound Junction Satellite and CCD conference.
Her music was also broadcast live on a Canadian radio station, CKCU FM. Her sound is often characterized as atmospheric, dark and unique.
